Review: UNRAVEL ME by Tahereh Mafi

tick
tick
tick
tick
tick
it's almost
time for war.
Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.
She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.
Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.
In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

So, I would just like to start by saying, this review is going to be all sorts of insane. I apologize in advance.

To be quite honest, I don't even know where to start. My brain is currently mush.
This book was amazing on so many levels. I started reading around 8pm, and by midnight, I was finished. My body was completely drained. SO. MANY. FEELS.

Let's start with Juliette, shall we? In Shatter Me, I felt kind of bad for her. But during the first few chapters of UNRAVEL ME, I became quite annoyed with her. I'm not too fond of girls who sit around and sort of wallow in their own self pity. I was like, okay Juliette, I get it. Things kind of suck right now. But wake up and smell the coffee! Get off of your backside and FIGHT! And boy, did she! By the end of the book, I was so incredibly proud of her. She had gone through so much, and she was so much stronger for it. I can't really go into many details, because I don't want to be spoilery, but wow. She was amazing.

Adam and Warner. HOLY MOTHER OF GOODNESS. Like, what?! Did I read that correctly?!
They were both shining stars in this book. I went into it thinking that maybe I'd just stick with Team Adam. But, whoa. I am now and forever Team Warner. He was amazing. We got to see a side to him that we never have before, and I was eating it up.

And I can't forget Kenji. I love him! He lent some much needed comic relief to some pretty intense scenes. And he's so charming.

I'm just going to put this out there. UNRAVEL ME is, by far, the BEST book I have ever read. And that speaks volumes. I've read tons of books. But nothing compares. It had absolutely EVERYTHING I want in a book. Romance, Guns, Love, Fighting, Humor, Chapter 62, Mystery...I could go on and on.

The only other thing I can say is...Please read this book. Please.
